Burra Talent Quest.
A huge goal of the Burra Country Music Festival is to sustain local and interstate talent, and to create an amazing festival for you all. However, the up and coming young talent are super important too! That's why we have established a competition for y'all to enter in.
The talent quest will be on the Saturday morning from 9am - 11am, with the results of the talent quest being announced on stage at the night show. 1st, 2nd, & 3rd in all sections have cash prizes.
You will need to play for yourself, arrange for someone to accompany you or provide pre-recorded music. ALL GENRE of music accepted.

Talent Quest Conditions Of Entry
1. Contestants are to perform (One or two) songs per section as determined by the Talent Quest Committee
2. Junior Contestants can only enter one age group section, except if entering the Open sections 4 & 5
3. Contestants must provide own backing - (Backing CD’s allowed), and may have one (1) only other Musician (e.g. Rhythm Guitarist ) to accompany them (no backup singer except in duo section (4) allowed)
4. Pre-recorded backing music allowed.
5.The decision of the adjudicators will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. Correct entry fees for all sections must accompany all entry forms and No Late Entries will be Accepted.
7. The organising committee reserves the right to alter the programme if insufficient entries are received for any section.
8. The Talent Quest is open to all except professional artists. Professional artist are deemed those who have appeared on a commercial recording as the named artist, or who are earning a living as a performer. Any entrant who is found to be a professional artist will be disqualified, with no refund of entry fees.
9.Onus is on the competitor for their own equipment
10. The Burra Country Music Festival will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to property.
11. Songwriting will be prejudged winners will be announced on Saturday night.
12. The GRAHAM ALLINGTON JUNIOR SCHOLARSHIP,for a Junior & THE BURRA COUNTRY MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP for a Senior to the Academy of Country Music (valued at $6,000) *conditions apply*
13. NATHANIEL O”BRIEN MEMORIAL AWARD This award will be in honour of Nathaniel O’Brien to assist a young performer to develop their skills by offering monetary support towards the purchase of an instrument, music/vocal lessons or for travel expenses. This will be an annual award, presented at the BURRA AGL COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL
14. One lucky person will be chosen to represent Australia on Norfolk Island
in 2020 for the Prestigious title of Trans Tasman Entertainer of the Year.
